Welcome to breathe-bot! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the breathe-bot Discord bot (the "Bot"), which is designed to help users with guided breathing exercises. By adding or using the Bot on your Discord server, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By using breathe-bot, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you may not use the Bot.
2. Bot Functionality
breathe-bot is designed to join a voice channel and provide guided audio for breathing exercises upon user request. Its primary purpose is to assist with simple relaxation and mindfulness techniques.
3. User Responsibilities

Lawful Use: You agree to use the Bot only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of, or restrict or inhibit the use and enjoyment of the Bot by any third party.

Discord Terms of Service: Your use of the Bot is also subject to the Discord Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. You are solely responsible for ensuring your use of the Bot complies with all applicable Discord policies.

No Medical Advice: The breathing exercises provided by the Bot are for general well-being and relaxation purposes only. They are not intended to be, and should not be taken as, medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment for any medical condition or psychological disorder. Always consult with a qualified healthcare professional for any health concerns.

No Misuse: You agree not to use the Bot in any way that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair the Bot or interfere with any other party's use of the Bot.
4. Data Collection
breathe-bot collects minimal data necessary for its operation.

No Personal Identifiable Information (PII): The Bot does not collect or store any personally identifiable information (e.g., Discord user IDs, names, or messages) beyond what is necessary for its core functionality (e.g., understanding commands).

Command Usage: The Bot may log command usage for diagnostic purposes and to improve its functionality. This data is anonymized where possible and is not linked to individual users.

Voice Channel Data: The Bot only plays audio into the voice channel when actively providing a breathing exercise. It does not record, process, or store any audio from users in the voice channel.
5. Limitation of Liability
breathe-bot is provided "as is" without any warranties, express or implied. The developer of breathe-bot shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, including but not limited to, damages for loss of profits, goodwill, use, data, or other intangible losses, resulting from:

Unauthorized access to or alteration of your transmissions or data.

Any other matter relating to the Bot.
6. Modifications to Terms
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will try to provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion. By continuing to access or use our Bot after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.
7. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to the Bot immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms.
8. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the state of Colorado, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
